Ok.. I can’t keep it in.
I just watched on Fox News how the American Pharmacists Association is fighting for the rights of pharmacists to NOT fill out legally obtained prescriptions if it violates the morals of the pharmacist..
I quote ” We need to remember pharmacists are people too”
Are they fucking nuts??
They claim its so they won’t dispense self termination drugs in Oregon and lethal injections for the state.. however the next step will be.. I am not going to fill out a prescription for the morning after pill because I believe it is abortion and against my morals.. Then it will be some other religious nutjob who won’t fill out birth control prescriptions because it is against their morals..
According to the dingbat they had representing this side of thinking the pharmacists are supposed to refer you to someone who will fill the prescription.. however…if your in a small town with two pharmacists and both are nutjobs will you have to now drive 30-40 miles to fill out your LEGAL prescription???
I can see it now.. everyone will start fighting for this option..
Cops :
I am sorry ma’am but I think your husband should be allowed to beat the shit out of you so I am going to refer you to another police precinct
Towtrucks :
I am sorry Sir that it is 2am but I disagree on moral grounds with your displaying a fish on the back of your car.. Please call another towtruck.. oops i am sorry we are the only 24/7 business for 50 miles..
This is a slippery slope and someone is pouring grease on the ramp!

When pharmacist Neil Noesen refused to fill a customer’s prescription for birth-control pills at a Kmart in Menomonie, Wis., he did so on the basis of his religious beliefs. But when he also refused to transfer the woman’s prescription to another pharmacy, she went to the police.
WHOSE RIGHTS HAVE PRECEDENCE? Women protest in Denton, Texas, after a pharmacist refused, on grounds of conscience, to fill a prescription for a morning-after pill for a rape victim. He was later fired
Noesen’s case mirrors two incidents in Texas that are pitting a woman’s legal right to contraceptives against a pharmacist’s right to follow his or her conscience. In Denton, Texas, a pharmacist at an Eckerd pharmacy lost his job in January after turning away a rape victim who wanted to fill a prescription for a morning-after contraceptive. And in suburban Dallas last month, a CVS pharmacist refused to fill a prescription for birth-control pills for a married mother of two. CVS says it is “addressing the situation” with the pharmacist.
I had no idea this was happening until I saw the news and went browing the net..
As sexist as this sounds.. LADIES.. I would suggest you start making this a little more of an issue in the blogging world and get the word out. This will end up being a backdoor method to remove women’s right to birth control.
Remember… Emails to a company and boycotting will work!

Medical Ethics Gone Wild
As an RN – I have come across so many different types of people from so many different walks of life. People of different shapes, sizes and colors – with various different beliefs, morals, value systems, politics and experiences. Some of those people…

I agree with Margi! Do you hear of anyone refusing to sell condoms?!? And sometimes people choose to take birth control to become regular so to speak. I hate idiots and self righteous dumbasses!

You dont even know what political correctness is! Is it o.k. to force someone to help you, in their opinion, kill your children? These people are not doctors. They’re Pharmacists. The small town arguement is always raised, but the few actual cases where this would be a problem could be dealt with by a local doctor as well. What ever happened to being free to object, free to work, etc. I agree that a Pharmacy doesn’t have to hire people that have this objection even thought that would be descrimination based upon religous belief, but we surely shouldn’t force people to do what they feel is immoral.

If it is legal then it is allowed which is the point.. Dig deeper beyond the anti-abortion issue in this and consider what other people might consider immoral.
This is the kind of issue that can easily blossom into.. Anyone not doing anything because their personal opinion is it is immoral.
Selling birth control is not immoral nor is it killing anyone unless your saying that stopping an egg from becoming fertilized is killing.
If you can not abide by the law then do not go into that line of work.
Now at least you agree with the fact that I do not have to hire people based on their beliefs.. which currently I am not allowed to do. I can not say.. sorry your religion is not compatible with my company..

Pharmacists who refuse to fill legal prescriptions should have their penis pulled off (or, if a woman, her tits torn off).

I detest political correctness and no one tells me what to say or what to think! Freedom of speech is still one of our rights as Americans!

I hope that you don’t think this is spam. I really do think that you’d appreciate a site like this since we share the same idealogy. Hopefully you like it enough to blogroll
